Who this app is for

The Westmark Staff Time Clock is a private tool for people employed by or contracted with Westmark Home Care. Access requires a staff code issued by a Westmark manager. It is not intended for, and cannot be used by, the general public.

What the app collects

The app collects only what is needed to record a work shift:

• Your staff code — issued by your manager, used to identify you.
• Your name and staff ID — as held in Westmark’s staff roster.
• Shift times — the moment you clock in and out. These timestamps are recorded by our server, not by your phone.
• Visit details — the client you are visiting, the type of visit, the services performed, and any note you choose to add.
• Your assigned schedule — upcoming visits assigned to you.

What the app does not collect

• No location tracking. The app never requests or records your GPS position, at clock-in or at any other time.
• No advertising or analytics. There are no ad networks, no trackers, and no third-party analytics SDKs.
• No contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. The app does not request these permissions.
• No selling of data. Westmark does not sell or rent any information collected here, to anyone, for any purpose.

Information about clients

Because a shift record names the client visited and the type of care provided, the app necessarily handles limited information about the people you care for. That information is entered by Westmark staff, is visible only to you (for your own visits) and to Westmark administrators, and is used solely to schedule care and produce accurate invoices.

Caregivers should not enter medical details, diagnoses, or other sensitive clinical information in the free-text note field. That field is for brief operational notes about the visit.

Stored on your phone

If you tick “Remember me on this phone,” your staff code is saved in your browser’s local storage so you do not have to retype it. It stays on your device, is never transmitted anywhere except to Westmark’s own server when you use the app, and is removed when you sign out.

The app also stores a copy of its own screens on your device so it can open without a signal. No shift or client information is stored in that copy.

How information is handled

• All traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
• Data is stored on servers operated by Netlify, our hosting provider, on Westmark’s behalf.
• Access requires a valid staff code; each caregiver can see only their own shifts and their own assigned clients.
• Shift records are retained as business and payroll records for as long as Massachusetts and federal law require, and then deleted.

Who information is shared with

Shift and visit records are shared only with Westmark Home Care administrators, and with the client or their responsible party as part of invoicing and care documentation. We do not share this information with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. We may disclose records where required by law, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Your rights

You may ask what information Westmark holds about you, request a correction, or request deletion of information we are not legally required to keep. Contact eric@westmark.care or call (508) 233-8062. If you are a Massachusetts resident, you may also have rights under state law regarding personnel records.

Children

This app is a workplace tool for adults employed by Westmark Home Care. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting staff will also be communicated directly.
